July 6, 2017 – HoyleCohen is proud to announce that our Director of Investments and Portfolio Management, Vanessa Wieliczko, CFA, CAIA, CFP® has been elected for a two year term as President of the CFA Society San Diego, a group of approximately 500 elite investment professionals in San Diego County.
Vanessa began serving on the CFA Society San Diego board in 2015 as Public Awareness Chair responsible for member, employer and community outreach. Most recently she served as Program Chair, responsible for securing nationally renowned speakers on topics most relevant to the society’s membership. As President, Vanessa looks forward to continuing her service to the local finance community and hopes to continue to facilitate collaborative partnerships with other local professional organizations.
The CFA Society San Diego is one of 135 chapters in 73 countries, providing membership benefits to more than 142,000 members worldwide. She was selected to represent the local society at the 2015 International CFA Society Leadership Conference in Hong Kong.
The Chartered Financial Analyst designation, or CFA charter, has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world. The CFA Program is widely considered the investment profession’s most rigorous credentialing program and has been referred to as a “gold standard” by the Economist and Financial Times. Only one in five candidates who begins the rigorous program successfully completes it and goes on to become a CFA charter holder.
Driven in pursuit of excellence, Vanessa obtained her Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, and Certified Financial Planner designations all before turning 30, taking full advantage of the generous education benefits offered by HoyleCohen to its employees.
