FTB Mortgage Planning Workshop
On May 30th HoyleCohen hosted the Financial Planning Association – FPA NEXGEN event focused on how proper mortgage planning can help first time home buyer clients make smarter choices. Headed by Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, Sarah Lindsey of Synergy One Lending, they discussed 4 case studies covering:
- 30-year mortgage vs. 15-year mortgage
- Points vs. No Points
- 20% Down Payment vs. 5% Down Payment
- FHA mortgage vs. Conventional mortgage
The seminar focused on the financial planning implications of these mortgage options to better equip clients manage their single largest debt (mortgage) and their single largest asset (home) and offered CE credits as well.
