For Immediate Release: March 9, 2016 – San Diego, CA – HoyleCohen, LLC, a leader in wealth management solutions and advisory services, is proud to announce that our Legacy Wealth Coach, Chuck Ebersole, CFP, has earned his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) professional designation.
The CAP® program provides professionals in the nonprofit and financial services fields who work with individuals and families in the development and implementation of philanthropic programs with the knowledge and tools needed to help clients reach their charitable giving objectives while also helping them meet their estate planning and wealth management goals. Candidates for the CAP® designation must complete a minimum of three courses in philanthropic studies and six hours of rigorous, supervised examinations.
The study group was formed in spring 2014 to discuss the CAP® curriculum and share how various gift techniques, strategies and philanthropic tools such as charitable trusts, private foundations, donor-advised funds and charitable gift annuities have benefited their clients and donors over the years.
“We formed this group to share insight and ultimately provide a higher level of service to our clients,” said Ebersole, a Legacy Wealth Coach with over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. “It begins by engaging our clients in deeper conversations that get to the ‘why’ in financial planning, but it also means bringing other, trusted technical experts and nonprofit executives to the table so that the client has a wealth of resources and options available. Should the process result in charitable giving, it will be one of the most personally meaningful aspects of a client’s legacy, due in large part because we listened.”
Over 800 individuals have been awarded the CAP® designation since its inception in 2003 with study groups such as this one taking place across the country.
“The CAP® by our name indicates a commitment to the highest standard of professional ethics and personal integrity,” said Schaal, Senior Director of Planned Giving for the UC Davis Health System. “I would call on anyone in this group as a resource and trust that they too are looking out for my donor’s best interests.”
