Stephen J. Taddie, CBE, CFM

Steve Taddie was the co-founder and Managing Partner of Stellar Capital Management which merged with HoyleCohen in 2020. Steve has over 30 years of professional experience in the investment field, specializing in establishing economic outlook and forecasting and leading teams that provide custom-tailored management of stock and bond portfolios and provide investment fiduciary work for employer sponsored retirement plans. Steve’s background includes working with a select group of clients ranging from publicly traded corporations, government entities, and Native American Indian Tribes, to high net worth individuals and families across the country. He is frequently asked to speak on economic and investment management trends, has authored numerous articles and has often been quoted on the same subjects.

 

 

Vanessa Wieliczko, CFA, CAIA, CFP®:  Chief Investment Officer

Vanessa oversees the investment department and leads the Investment Committee at HoyleCohen. She joined the firm in 2008 and was instrumental in the development of the firm’s CorePlus approach, a unique blend of traditional and alternative assets.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and management with a concentration in international finance from Boston University. Driven in pursuit of excellence, she obtained her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations all before turning 30. Active in the community, Vanessa serves on the board as President of CFA Society San Diego, a group of more than 500 investment and planning professionals.

 

 

Jeremy Kovacevich, MBA, CFP®, Senior Director of Advisory Services and Development

Jeremy oversees the Advisory Team and  Financial Planning Department. In an advisory capacity, Jeremy works to facilitate ongoing wealth management services for HoyleCohen clients. His comprehensive advocacy style compliments the firm’s planning-centric approach to wealth management and allows Jeremy to address his clients financial needs and goals in a holistic way.

Jeremy holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Jeremy has served as a past president and Chairman of the Board of the San Diego Chapter of the FPA, and currently serves as a Member at Large.

 

 

Rachel M. Luken, CFP®, Senior Wealth Advisor

Rachel has over twenty-five years of experience in financial services. Her core work involves advocating for clients on their day‐to‐day planning and investment needs. She adopts a holistic planning approach, ensuring that her clients’ needs are met and goals achieved without overlooking opportunities and challenges along the way. Rachel has a gift for the big picture and she works tirelessly to enhance the service and support of every HoyleCohen client as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm as a whole.

Rachel loves to help others and she makes herself available to clients and peers alike. She actively mentors the younger generation of advisors and advisory teams at the firm and finds great satisfaction in helping others to succeed.

 

 

Heather England, JD, IACCP®, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer

Heather administers the firm’s compliance program and oversees the Client Services (including Relationship Managers and Back Office Operations) and Human Resources functions of the firm. Both roles see her working closely with the operations department on issues ranging from cybersecurity to process efficiencies. She also routinely works with advisory teams as the firm’s estate and tax planning expert.

Heather received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar. Heather has also received her compliance certification from the National Regulatory Society and holds the Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP®) designation.

 

 

 

Bruce Berti, Chief Financial Officer

Bruce’s role as HoyleCohen’s Chief Financial Officer involves monthly GAAP financial accounting, firm budgeting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Bruce has over 15 years of experience performing back office functions in the Registered Investment Advisor space and over 25 years in business administration.
