November 2020

Please join us in congratulating Director of Investments, Vanessa Wieliczko, for her win in the San Diego Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Business Leaders of 2020.

Vanessa is well deserving of this honor! As Director of Investments at HoyleCohen – Vanessa oversees all aspects of Investment Management for client portfolios totaling more than $2.4B in investment assets. This is nearly 6 times larger than the roughly $400M HoyleCohen managed in investment assets when Vanessa joined the firm in 2008. Vanessa has helped fuel this growth and has built out a robust scalable investment platform with many unique features.

Vanessa’s drive and relentless persistence are the foundation that helped her to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, all before turning 30. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Boston University’s School of Management with a concentration in International Finance. More recently she has earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Education Series through BoardSource, a recognized and trusted partner in nonprofit board leadership and governance and is serving her second term as the youngest President of the CFA Society San Diego.

Perhaps even more noteworthy is Vanessa’s unyielding passion for mentoring and encouraging other professionals in the industry. Vanessa is always willing to listen, offer advice and use her network to help others as is exemplified in this December 2020 CAIA Member Spotlight.

Congratulations to Vanessa and all the other winners of the SDBJ 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40!
