HoyleCohen was pleased to host the CFA Society San Diego to support their 2019 Board Orientation retreat. Vanessa H. Wieliczko, CFA, CAIA, CFP®, Director of Investments at HoyleCohen and President of the CFA Society San Diego, welcomed nine incoming board members and a dozen committee volunteers to learn about the local Society, its history, its purpose, and the roles and responsibilities of being a board or committee member. The retreat began with a team building session facilitated by Stacy Love, CAE, SPHR®, PHRca®, Executive Director of the San Diego society, and continued with an introduction to governance as it applies to nonprofit organizations.  Finally, the event concluded with breakout sessions facilitated by Michelle Branchini, Managing Director of the San Diego Society to assist all participants in navigating their comprehensive Board Manuals as well as providing a high-level overview of each of their respective committees.  It was a productive, informative, and fun afternoon as CFA Society San Diego celebrated its complement of incoming volunteers and set them on a successful course for continued momentum into their 2020 fiscal year!
